Remote Part Time Teacher | WFH

In this remote, part-time position, you will lead students through an engaging STEAM-focused (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) curriculum, inspiring them through hands-on activities that promote academic success, social-emotional development, and healthy lifestyle choices.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Design and implement a STEAM curriculum that resonates with students’ interests and backgrounds.</li><li>Facilitate activities that cultivate a welcoming and organized learning atmosphere, encouraging student initiative and exploration.</li><li>Develop meaningful relationships with students, providing guidance and support that fosters both personal and academic advancement.</li><li>Establish and uphold clear expectations for student behavior and learning to maintain a structured and respectful environment.</li><li>Ensure accurate record-keeping of attendance and maintain open channels of communication regarding student progress and program objectives.</li><li>Participate in professional development through required training and meetings, sharing insights and reflections on program delivery.</li><li>Prepare thoroughly with lesson plans and necessary materials, including substitute plans when needed.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Required Skills<br><br></strong><ul><li>State of Maine Teaching Certification or relevant experience.</li><li>BA/BS in education or a related field preferred.</li><li>Experience teaching elementary-aged children.</li><li>A strong passion for engaging and inspiring students in their learning journeys.</li><li>Experience working with diverse student populations, particularly those in need of additional academic support.</li><li>Familiarity with digital tools such as Microsoft Outlook, Google Drive, and Zoom.</li><li>Excellent communication, organizational, and time management abilities.</li><li>A creative problem-solving approach and a flexible, growth-oriented mindset.</li><li>Team-oriented mindset with effective collaboration skills.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Career Growth Opportunities<br><br></strong>This position offers significant potential for both personal and professional development.
