Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Teacher Associate to become an integral member of our dynamic team focused on early childhood education. In this remote position, you will play a vital role in fostering the comprehensive development of children, ensuring that they thrive in a nurturing and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Design and execute educational programs that support children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth in alignment with Vermont Early Learning Standards.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to create a well-organized and engaging classroom environment.
• Maintain open communication with families to keep them informed about their child’s progress and development.
• Adhere to center policies and state regulations to ensure a safe and healthy classroom atmosphere.
• Keep meticulous records of observations, curriculum planning, and assessments to meet all required deadlines.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and uphold the center’s quality improvement standards.

Required Skills
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-driven environment.
• Strong understanding of child development principles.
• Outstanding leadership, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
• Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Completion of Mandated Reporter Training.

Qualifications
• Compliance with Vermont State Regulations for a Teacher Associate.
• Minimum age of 20 years.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Successful background check and fingerprinting clearance.
• Completion of Vermont Orientation Training.

Education And Experience

Candidates should possess one of the following:
• A Vermont Early Childhood Career Ladder Level Three (3) Certificate.
• An Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or related fields, along with a minimum of 12 months of experience working with preschool-aged children.
• A Certificate of Completion from the Registered Child Care Apprenticeship Program.
• A Child Care Certificate from the Community College of Vermont, with at least 12 months of experience.
• Completion of 21 college credits focused on early childhood education and at least 12 months of experience working with children.
