Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Teacher Associate to become an integral member of our dynamic team focused on early childhood education. In this remote position, you will play a vital role in fostering the comprehensive development of children, ensuring that they thrive in a nurturing and stimulating environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and execute educational programs that support childrens cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth in alignment with Vermont Early Learning Standards.
Collaborate with fellow educators to create a well-organized and engaging classroom environment.
Maintain open communication with families to keep them informed about their childs progress and development.
Adhere to center policies and state regulations to ensure a safe and healthy classroom atmosphere.
Keep meticulous records of observations, curriculum planning, and assessments to meet all required deadlines.
Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and uphold the centers quality improvement standards.
Required Skills
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-driven environment.
Strong understanding of child development principles.
Outstanding leadership, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid Certification.
Completion of Mandated Reporter Training.
Qualifications
Compliance with Vermont State Regulations for a Teacher Associate.
Minimum age of 20 years.
High school diploma or GED.
Successful background check and fingerprinting clearance.
Completion of Vermont Orientation Training.
Education And Experience
Candidates should possess one of the following:
A Vermont Early Childhood Career Ladder Level Three (3) Certificate.
An Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or related fields, along with a minimum of 12 months of experience working with preschool-aged children.
A Certificate of Completion from the Registered Child Care Apprenticeship Program.
A Child Care Certificate from the Community College of Vermont, with at least 12 months of experience.
Completion of 21 college credits focused on early childhood education and at least 12 months of experience working with children.
