About the position

BMO Financial Group is seeking a highly motivated Investment Banking Analyst to join the Financial Sponsors Coverage team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of relevant experience or exposure to investment and corporate banking, with a defined interest in working directly with Private Equity clients. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field, with an outstanding record of academic achievement, is required. The position demands a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Candidates should be detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities and possess a deep understanding of accounting and finance. Excellent mathematical, writing, verbal, and computer skills are essential, along with the ability to manage expectations of senior bankers while working on multiple projects simultaneously. Effective leadership and coaching skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to satisfying internal and external customers are also key qualifications. Additionally, candidates must acquire the SIE Exam, Series 79, and Series 63 within 150 days of employment.

Responsibilities
? Perform extensive financial/valuation analyses for leveraged finance, mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising transactions.

? Build advanced financial models to value potential and actual clients and/or industries, leveraging a broad understanding of valuation and finance/accounting topics.

? Lead due diligence, research, analysis, and documentation of potential and live transactions, anticipating potential deal issues and communicating concerns in real time.

? Participate in presentation development and hypothesis testing to highlight financial analysis and research results.
,
? Develop, produce, and deliver proposals and presentations to clients and prospects, demonstrating broad knowledge of investment banking product solutions.

? Support senior bankers in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with financial sponsors and their portfolio companies.

? Actively participate in client meetings and drafting sessions.
,
? Identify improvements to processes and propose solutions to complete tasks more efficiently.

Requirements
? 1-3 years of relevant experience in investment and corporate banking.
