Nurse Tech - Brownwood

Job Summary
? The Nurse Tech position provides nursing students an opportunity to assist licensed nursing personnel in the implementation of day-to-day patient care as well as the routine operations of the nursing unit which assigned. The Nurse Tech provides care to the patients appropriate to the assigned unit.

Job Requirements
? Minimum Education
? High school or equivalent
? Completion of first semester of nursing school and in good standing with a nursing program
? Minimum Work Experience
? No previous work experience
? Required Licenses/Certifications
? CPR-BCLS
? Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
? A Nurse Technician must be a nursing student currently enrolled in and in good standing with nursing program. Nurse Technicians are required to work 48 hours per month.
? Nurse Techs may continue to work in position after graduation of nursing school until they take their NCLEX. This will be reevaluated based on need by unit leadership.
? Nurse Techs may remain in the Nurse Tech role if they are unsuccessful passing the NCLEX on their first attempt. After a second unsuccessful attempt, the Nurse Tech position would be terminated.

? Maintain professional appearance at all times.
? Ability to handle confidential information.
