Petco is one of the largest health and wellness companies in the world, operating veterinary hospitals, preventive care clinics, and pet care centers.

Position Responsibilities:

? Draw on your proficient business insight to appraise and analyze market trends, and to execute sound business strategies that will drive growth.
? In charge of driving the implementation and execution of projects that prioritize the interests of guests, which may include nutritional requirements, pet companion sales, seasonal promotions, and superior services, with the aim of surpassing set sales targets.
? Adopting an all-encompassing Omni Channel approach to sales that provides distinct options to guests, such as services, veterinary services, loyalty programs, BOPUS, Endless Aisle, and Repeat Delivery.
? It is imperative for the Leader on Duty at the Pet Care Center to communicate and train team members on all important company initiatives and procedures to ensure their successful implementation.
? Execute register transactions that provide a delightful and memorable experience for every customer.
? Display the selling model in your behavior and offer assistance to guests as appropriate.
? This position is responsible for managing the recruitment, education, coaching, confirmation, recognition, performance control, and development of all team members who directly support the efficient operation of the Pet Care Center in compliance with Petco's standards, while also ensuring the proper execution of selling and service behaviors.
? To improve guest engagement and increase sales floor coverage, it is important to use Petco selling behaviors when developing the weekly schedule.
? Establish a leadership culture that promotes teamwork, inclusivity, and collaboration by giving clear direction and setting specific priorities that embody a deep dedication to both people and pets.
? This assistant plays a critical role in the Pet Care Center partnership with the operations team by ensuring consistent replenishment and brand standards.
? It is expected that Solution Managers foster and maintain the Petco Leadership Expectations.

? Act as a shining example of exceptional leadership and sales talent to the Pet Care Center's associates and partners. Establish a positive work climate that sparks inspiration in teams to reach the organization's objectives. Serve as a convincing promoter of change and growth within the business.

Supervisory Responsibility:
? This opportunity necessitates a high school diploma or a corresponding certification held by an individual; the preference is for applicants who have completed college-level courses in business or management.
? Candidates must have at least 2 years of management experience or its equivalent, although 3 or more years of experience is what we are looking for in the successful applicant.
? One must possess a valid license in order to drive a motor vehicle.
? The requirements for this role include having excellent communication proficiency, strong organizational aptitude, and extensive knowledge of how to operate computer applications, particularly, programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software.
? The candidate exhibits extraordinary proficiency in business essentials, a strong grasp of finance, exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, and a resolute dedication to nurturing personnel and delivering exceptional guest service.

Supervisory Responsibility:
? A solutions manager is responsible for overseeing the solutions LOD, generalists, specialists, grooming salon leaders, and dog trainers.
? The Solutions Manager will be responsible for partnering with Vetco and Vet Hospital to impact their guest strategies and drive success.
? Attract, assess and retain high-achieving sales personnel to grow the business and aid in the selection of future leaders and partners.

Work Environment:

Safety protocols must be adhered to as the role of pet care center assistant involves kneeling, bending, and moving up to 50-pound merchandise which can lead to injury. Weekend support and availability during important sales hours are also a requirement.

Communication is an integral part of this role, with regular contact with the public, other PETCO departments, and external contacts for the purpose of coordinating a range of responsibilities, such as event organization and merchandise returns.
