Early Childhood Lead Teacher - 3s/4s

The Elisabeth Morrow School, a leader in education from early childhood through middle school, seeks an Early Childhood Lead Teacher for its Division of Early Childhood. The Division of Early Childhood serves students ages 2 through Kindergarten.

This position reports to the Head of Early Learning and works in collaboration with fellow lead teachers, associate teachers, and administrators.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
? Oversee all aspects of classroom instruction, student assessment, classroom management, family communication and task delegation in line with the school?s philosophy and mission.
? Gain a deep knowledge of each student?s academic, social, and emotional needs to provide an individualized learning experience.
? Utilize approaches that promote confidence, empowerment, and positivity in students and faculty.
? Establish warm and mutually trusting relationships with families and colleagues.
? Maintain a safe, organized, and productive learning environment.
? Provide instruction that reflects developmentally appropriate learning targets and promotes growth for all students.
? Attend conferences and participate in other professional development to deliver best-in-class teaching to inspire developing minds.
? Promote the school within the larger community.
Essential Qualifications
? Must hold a masters in education or be in the process of earning the degree (degree in early childhood education a plus).
? At least two years of experience as a full-time teacher in an early childhood classroom
? Strong interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate and problem-solve
? Proven track record of strong leadership, effective teaching, deep knowledge of early childhood development, classroom management and interpersonal skills
? Experience with Google Suite and Kaymbu a plus
