JOB SUMMARY:

Professional counseling work in providing individual, group, marital and family therapy and related indirect client services. Provides crisis intervention. Makes appropriate referrals and consultations both within and outside the agency. Prepares and maintains client records.

ESSENTIAL/CORE JOB-SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provides individual, group, marital and family therapy in accordance with established and acceptable clinical protocols in the office, through tele-therapy, in the community, and in the clients home as necessary.

2. Maintains all required and appropriate documentation for clinical records for assigned cases in accordance with Clinical Record Handbook specifications or Agency policies and procedures.

3. Meets service productivity standard of at least 62.5% (or 5 out of 8 work hours) for the provision of direct therapy services in accordance with applicable clinical/quality criteria which are supported by appropriate clinical record documentation which meet Clinical Record Handbook specifications, SAL documentation requirements, and Agency business/clinical ethics standards.

4. Requests authorization for services through insurance when required.

OTHER JOB-SPECIFIC:

1. Coordinates cases with assigned care managers as a part of the team.

2. Make appropriate referrals and consultations with Agency components and other agencies and organizations.

3. Provides crisis intervention to clients as needed.

4. Serves as Center resource for clinical supervision and development, as assigned. Serves as Center representative to area professional and workgroup meetings, as assigned.

Education/Experience:
? Masters degree with from an accredited university or college with a major in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, or a related human services field.
? Two years of related professional experience.

Licensure or Certification:
? Must be licensed by the State of Florida as a clinical social worker, marriage and family therapist or mental health counselor.
? Valid driver's license with no more than 6 points over 3 years.
